HOW CAN DR. KUANG HELP WITH HEADACHES?
If you are experiencing a headache, it is most likely a Tension headache. Tension headaches are the most common type of headache. A common symptom of a tension headache involves a constant “band-like” pain, tightness or pressure around the forehead or back of the head. This can last anywhere from 30 minutes to several days. Tightened muscles in the back of your neck and scalp cause tension headaches. Over the counter pain mediations do little to get to the root of your problem and serve only as a temporary solution, resulting in your pain coming back once the medication wears off. Many times a muscle in the back of your head or neck can tighten up due to a its bony attachment being out of place. If this is the case, Dr. Kuang can administer a gentle chiropractic adjustment to properly realign your bony structures and relieve the tension headache. In other cases, Dr. Kuang can perform Active Release Technique soft tissue therapy to loosen your tight muscles and relieve your tension headache. Another cause of tension headaches is poor posture. Dr. Kuang can analyze your posture and educate you on ways to fix and maintain a proper posture so that you can keep tension headaches at bay and go back to doing the things that make you happy.
